There’s been a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming new version of Microsoft Edge for Xbox in recent months, but a member of Team Xbox has warned that it’ll still be a little while until it releases publicly.
At the moment, it’s available to members of the Xbox Insiders program, and has been adding features like mouse and keyboard support recently. But for everyone else, Xbox engineering lead Eden Marie says it’ll be a bit longer of a wait:
It’ll be interesting to see what other new features (if any) are added to the browser in that time, but at the very least, the ability to use mouse and keyboard will be transformative compared to the current Edge browser on Xbox.
And of course, there’s a lot of eagerness surrounding the (potential) ability to play Steam games via NVIDIA GeForce Now, for example, so it’ll be interesting to see if that’s a possibility in the final version. Let’s hope so!
