Sims 4 Courtyard Oasis Kit officially announced after Xbox leak

Fibo Quantum

The Sims 4 has officially announced its next Kit, days after it was leaked on the Microsoft Store.

Courtyard Oasis Kit will be the game’s fourth Kit when it launches on Tuesday, May 18 at 10am PDT (6pm BST) for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One – and features “vibrant and harmonious pieces inspired by the riads of Morocco”.

EA shared a couple of images too, so you can take a look at the new Build/Buy items for yourself.

The Kit features traditional filigree designs and tile patterns, as well as a selection of fountains, furniture, textiles, and plants. Builders can also make use of new columns and archways plus latticed wooden windows.

Based on the description and images, it looks like Courtyard Oasis Kit will be strictly Build/Buy items with no Create-a-Sim or gameplay extras.

The Kit was accidentally leaked around a week ago, when Xbox prematurely listed the content on its storefront.

The Sims‘ official Twitter account responded in a light-hearted manner while also hinting at more news to come next week.

“Hey @Xbox, check ya’ texts!” they said. “We totally get it, we’re excited too! This summer is going to be 🔥 & we can’t wait to share our summer line-up on May 17th.”

Given that we know a new Game Pack is just weeks away, the 17th could be when we’ll get first details on it.

Meanwhile, the game has received its first of two patches this month, with today’s update adding 16 East Asian eye presets which should help in addressing the difficulty of creating authentic East Asian Sims.

Other changes include two updated base game afro hairstyles and a bunch of small bug fixes. The full patch notes can be viewed here.

The Sims 4 is available on PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
